L'Oréal — A Botanical Award Gala in a Heritage Venue
An intimate awards dinner for L'Oréal, staged inside weathered Portuguese stone.
L'Oréal wanted an award night that felt collected, not corporate. BTQ Events took a heritage Portuguese venue of weathered stone and arched windows, ran long banquet tables down the centre, and dressed them with botanical centrepieces under candlelight — with Lancôme product moments discovered inside the florals, not displayed on them.
A gala dinner is a formal seated dinner that pairs refined dining with a ceremonial moment — an award, a speech, a toast. The room has to hold both registers at once: collected enough for dinner, charged enough for the ceremony. For L'Oréal, BTQ kept the award inside the dinner rather than staging it as a separate act.
An award night that felt collected.
L'Oréal wanted the opposite of a hotel-ballroom awards night. BTQ took a heritage Portuguese venue with weathered stone walls and arched windows, ran long banquet tables down the centre, and dressed them with botanical centrepieces under candlelight. The Lancôme products sat inside the florals — found, not presented — so the brand read as part of the table rather than a sponsor banner, and the award arrived as a moment within dinner.

Gala dinners — questions we hear
A gala dinner is a formal seated dinner that pairs refined dining with a ceremonial moment — an award, a speech or a toast. The production job is to hold both registers at once: collected enough for dinner, charged enough for the ceremony. For L'Oréal, BTQ kept the award inside the dinner rather than staging it as a separate act.
Venue sourcing and dressing, a floral and tablescape programme, custom menu and seated service, lighting design, and a ceremony woven into the evening's arc — all run by one production team. L'Oréal's gala used a heritage stone venue, botanical centrepieces and candlelight, with Lancôme products discovered inside the florals rather than displayed on signage.
BTQ produces gala dinners, award ceremonies, brand activations and product launches across Portugal — in heritage venues from Lisbon and Sintra to Porto and the Douro. Each runs through one production team from concept to strike.
